Making your home decorating economical is what the Mid-America standard-size Master Shutter® line is all about. Standard shutters are ready made and injection-molded in one piece. This means you won't have as many options as you would with
custom shutters, but they are priced with the budget exterior shutter shopper in mind.
Style MP Master panel shutters are very similar to the P2 style custom shutters. In fact, they look so similar that you can mix and match them - a convenient way to save money while ensuring your vinyl shutters all have a proper fit. Standard raised panel shutters are available in 12" and 14 3/4" widths and in heights of 31", 35", 39", 43", 47", 51", 55", 59", 63", 67", 71", 75", and 80".
With 16 permanent molded-through colors and one paintable type of vinyl available, you can match your standard raised panel vinyl shutters with virtually any home's exterior colors. Add our black faux shutter hinges to your raised panel shutters for an authentic colonial look.
Construction
Mid-America standard vinyl shutters are injection-molded in one piece at the Mid-America central factory. There are no joints that can come apart. This is the primary reason why only certain sizes are available - it would not be financially viable to build a mold in every conceivable shutter size.
The shutters are then placed in a warehouse where they are inventoried until they are ordered. This is why standard sized shutters are often referred to as "stock shutters", "premade shutters", or "one piece shutters".

If you would like to paint the shutters, order color #030 Paintable. None of the other Mid-America
colored vinyl shutters are paintable and attempting to do so will void the product warranty.

The color-through molded vinyl shutters are easy to install, easy to clean, do not warp, crack, fade, peel, split, or rot. Exterior vinyl shutters also provide better resilience than wood shutters under harsh conditions, such as near the ocean or in areas that receive heavy rainfall. - How do I remove the Shutter-Loks from the vinyl shutters once they are in place?
Slide a chisel behind the shutter until it comes in contact with the Shutter-Lok. Make sure to keep the sharp edge of the chisel away from the wall. Give the chisel a sharp tap with a hammer and it will cut through the Shutter-Lok. After the shutter is removed, shear the remaining part of the Shutter-Lok flush with the surface and bore out the shank with a drill. Fill the hole with silicone to weatherproof. You can use ferrules (a short cylindrical pipe) as standoffs to keep your vinyl shutters stable. Simply paint them, trim to size, and mount them behind your exterior shutters. Do not to put wood blocks behind the vinyl exterior shutters because they will rot fairly quickly.
