The raised panel transom top by Mid-America is a great alternative to custom shutters with 2 mid rails. They are color-coordinated to match Mid-America vinyl shutters and when installed they look like a single piece shutter.
These transom tops fit MP standard Master Panel shutters with a 14 3/4" width only, they are not for use with custom shutters or standard louvered shutters.

The 14 3/4" raised panel transom top is made to fit 9 or 10 inch transom windows. Alternatively, you may use them to save money on similar custom styles with 2 mid-rails. They are made to extend raised panel standard shutters (style MP) by 11 3/4". Made from a durable fade-resistant type of polypropylene (a durable type of vinyl rated for outdoor use), these transom tops for vinyl shutters are built to last and covered under a 40 year transferable product warranty.
Vinyl transom tops clip on to your raised panel vinyl shutters using joining clips and are attached to the side of the building using Shutter-Loks.
Please note that these transom tops do not fit Mid-America vinyl custom shutters or standard louvered shutters. They are made only for standard sized raised panel shutters (style MP).

To obtain the window measurement for rectangular windows, measure from the top of the window to the bottom of the window, including the window trim.
Subtract 11 3/4" from this measurement and this will give you the height of standard raised panel shutter to use with this transom top.
For example, if your window measurement is 59" in height, you will need to order 14 3/4" x 47" standard sized raised panel shutters (style MP) to match up with your window.
Remember - measure twice and order once!
This raised panel transom top is only compatible with the following Mid-America vinyl shutters when they are ordered in 14 3/4" widths. Use of this product with any other exterior window shutters is not recommended.
