- Installation instructions

To obtain the window measurement for rectangular windows, measure from the top of the window to the bottom of the window including the window trim.
When using the 12" raised panel transom top, subtracting 12" from this measurement will give you the size of exterior vinyl shutter to order.
For example, if your window measurement is 60" in height, you will need to order 12" x 48" vinyl exterior shutters to match up with your window.
Remember - measure twice and order once!
This raised panel transom top is only compatible with the following Mid-America products when they are ordered in 12" widths. Use of this product with any other exterior window shutters is not recommended.

NOTE: Please do not rely on the colors that
are displayed on the screen. To get an exact color match, we strongly recommend
ordering a
color sample before placing your
order for external shutter transom tops.
If you would like to paint the shutters, order color #030 Paintable. None of the other Mid-America
colored vinyl shutters are paintable and attempting to do so will void the product warranty.

In the Colonial through the Old West era of America, board and batten shutters and
solid panel shutters were modified with diamond cutouts to be used for gun ports
during shootouts. Over time, the cutouts in the window shutters were made into
moons, hearts, flowers, and other decorative patterns. Today many wooden exterior shutters
can still be ordered with decorative cutouts.
