Mid-America window shutters are the world's most popular brand. And with so many colors, sizes, and styles available, it is no wonder why. Made from a weatherproof fade-resistant polypropylene (a durable type of vinyl rated for outdoor use), Mid-America window shutters are built to stand the test of time and they are backed by a transferable 40-year warranty.
Style J4A joined board and batten window shutters are the best solution to your 1/2 round or elliptical arch windows when you decide board and batten shutters are right for your home. In fact, these vinyl shutters look great on both arched windows and rectangular windows. J4A custom shutters are available in quarter inch increments from 18" to 144" in length.
There are 18 permanent pre-colored shutter styles available and one paintable shutter style, giving you the flexibility to match your vinyl window shutters with virtually any home's paint color scheme. You have a choice of mounting hardware - choose patented Shutter-Loks for a quick permanent installation or color-coordinated painted metal screws for a removable installation. Add our black plastic decorative hinges to your window shutters for an authentic colonial look.

The height measurement of your J4A window shutters is determined by adding 6 1/2 inches to the window measurement.
The window measurement depends on the type of window you are installing the shutters on. For rectangular or elliptical shaped windows, measure from the bottom of the window to the top corner of the window, including the window trim.
For half round windows, measure from the bottom of the window to the point where the window starts to arch including the window trim.
Adding 6.5 inches to this height will give you the J4A vinyl shutter height measurement you need to enter into our website. If you are planning to install the vinyl shutters with the long side toward the window, it is not necessary to add 6.5 inches to the window height measurement.
Remember - measure twice and order once!

The Jalousie window was one of the first attempts at combining the glass of
a window with movable louvered shutters.
The windows are constructed with horizontally mounted glass louvered slats that
butt against each other tightly when closed and rotate outward when cranked open.
These "louvered" windows were used along coastal regions of the United States
in the 60's and 70's, but have since gone out of fashion.
